

Bordering municipalities include Alexandria, Bethlehem, Clinton, Franklin, Holland and Lebanon. Measuring approximately 20 square miles, Union Township has a population of about 5,900 residents. The township is a short drive from Interstate 78 or Route 31, while the historic villages of Clinton or Flemington are five and 15 minutes away respectively.

Union Township’s local elementary and middle schools are also highly-rated. Union Township students attend North Hunterdon with students from several surrounding townships. In 2010, when New Jersey Monthly released the names of the top high schools in the state, North Hunterdon High School was named 60th on a list of 322 high schools. The township was ranked 21st on a list of 566 municipalities in the publication’s “Best Places to Live in New Jersey” issue in 2008.
